Here, you'll embark on a fun journey to create a walk cycle for a four-legged creature. We'll kick things off by gathering some fantastic references for different walks and runs. Then, you'll get to stitch those together and bring them to life through animation!
The best part? Your final presentation will be much more than just a simple treadmill walk. We’re aiming for a fully animated walk cycle that's engaging and lasts for a good duration. You’ll also get to show off your creature's personality with fun details like head shakes and looking around during its long stroll, all while seamlessly looping back to keep the action going.
Plus, you can attach your walk or run to a path to make the animal move in a way that feels realistic and natural in your shots. This approach allows us to step away from the ordinary treadmill walks usually seen in reels and gives you a clearer understanding of how locomotion works.
